The primary focus of my research is on understanding and intervening in the processes associated with normal and abnormal development during childhood and adolescence from a developmental psychopathology perspective, particularly in the context of interparental and family conflict. Most recently, I have been involved in the development and administration of translational research projects out of the Shaw Center for Children and Families that provide preventive intervention for families at increased risk for heightened stress and conflict.

I am interested in memory, especially as it relates to event cognition. More specifically, I am interested in how mental representations and casual connections affect recognition and recall as well as research on synesthesia.
