Undergraduate Institution: Cornell University

Research Interests: Sara's primary interests relate to sleep and memory, particularly episodic and emotional episodic memory, with secondary interests in states of emotional arousal (e.g., acute stress). Her current research examines 1) the effects of stage-specific characteristics (e.g., NREM sleep spindles) on ecologically valid measures of episodic memory and 2) the mechanisms underlying preferential consolidation of emotional information.
