Graduate Studies
Founded on the premise that knowledge of basic psychology and psychological methods is required for careers in both basic science and applied behavioral science, our graduate programs boast solid training in general content areas, in methodology, and in scientific writing. They prepare our graduate students to make active contributions to scholarly research and to solve problems in various community, clinical, and other nonacademic settings.
Doctoral Programs in Psychology
Cognitive
Doctoral candidates in cognitive psychology acquire knowledge in the areas of cognition. Research in these areas uses a sophisticated array of methodologies and stresses issues in memory retrieval, spatial cognition, language production and comprehension, music cognition, visual and auditory processing, attention, and aging. This combination of experiences prepares students for postdoctoral careers in university, industry, and government settings. Learn More >
