Profile
Dr. Crowell's interests focus on questions related to how and why people learn and what motivates human action in various situations. Along with basic research on these topics, his work includes application and extension of principles and methods to improve human performance in real-world settings like the workplace and the classroom. In addition, he has examined various psychological and ethical issues dealing with the relationship between humans and computers.
Dr. Crowell has taught courses in introductory psychology, research methods, physiological psychology, learning, performance improvement techniques,educational technology, and computer methods. He is also the Director of the Cognitive Program in the Department, and also is Director of the Computer Applications Program (CAPP).
