Kim is interested in studying the effects of cultural variables on ethnic minority family processes. Specifically, her research interests include acculturation, family conflict, parent-child relationships, and children’s adjustment/behavior problems. Other interests include ethnic minority mental health issues and emotion regulation in Asian-American families.
