Research Interests: Blount's research interests integrate the areas of race, ethnicity, culture, class, gender and religion. Past projects have focused broadly on the psychological functions of religion within the African American community. Current research projects involve methods of coping with stressful life events and socio-cultural stressors in African American men and women.
