Jaelyn R. Farris

Program: Developmental

Research Interests:

Farris's research interests focus on parenting, attachment, youth psychopathology, and resilience. To date, projects have examined the development and longitudinal course of psychopathology in at-risk children and adolescents, as well as issues related to risk and resilience among children who were born to teenage mothers. In addition, Farris has participated in extensive training in the coding of infant attachment through the University of Minnesota's Institute for Child Development. She is currently investigating the influence of subthreshold child neglect on the security and organization of the infant-mother attachment bond.
