Brenda Jackson

Program: Developmental

My broad research interests are in the developmental
processes involved in normative aging from middle adulthood to old age. I am currently working on several projects: one looks at the relationships between perceived control and religiosity and their impact on well-being in middle-aged and older adults; another involves alcohol consumption and stress in midlife; and a third uses CART analysis to examine factors impacting perceived stress in older adults. My past research has examined death anxiety and self-esteem across adulthood in both religiously-affiliated and community samples.
