Research Interests:
Jody is completing data collection for her dissertation project entitled "Get the Lead Out," an intervention aimed at reducing lead dust in the home environment for children with subthreshold levels of exposure. The project also examines psycho-social and demographic characteristics that hinder intervention effectiveness in an low-income sample collected through Head Start and WIC.
In addition to her research interests on environmental neurotoxins and
intervention/prevention programs, Jody also works on the Notre Dame Adolescent Parenting Project, the Notre Dame Fathers' Project, and Parenting for the First Time. Her research interests in these studies include maternal depression and child behavior, resilience, metaparenting, and attachment.
