Research Interests:

Stephen's research interests include parametric (fixnite mixture modeling, latent variable mixture modeling) and nonparametric (taxometrics, COSA, heierarchical, k-means) clustering methods, mixed/multilevel/SEM approaches to longitudinal data, generalized (non)linear mixed model approacheds to factor analysis and item response theory analysis, rater agreement, and implementations of all of the above with categorical data. Substantive interests include motivation research, health/medical research (hearing, opioid use, Alzheimer's), program evaluation, and business dynamics modelling.
