The Marital Therapy and Research Clinic

Clinic Director: Dr. David A. Smith

The Marital Therapy & Research Clinic is a non-profit research, training, and service organization affiliated with the University of Notre Dame's Department of Psychology. Established as both a research center for the study of marital relations and a training site for graduate-level marriage counselors, the Clinic also provides quality, research-supported psychological services to married couples from South Bend and the surrounding community. The Marital Therapy & Research Clinic is located in the Paris House, at the NE intersection of Douglas and Juniper Roads.

The clinic is currently looking for volunteers for a research study on how couples communicate about and cope with Chronic Low Back Pain. Volunteer couples are encouraged to call the clinic if they are interested in participating and earning up to $450 for their help.
