The department’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee has compiled a shared Google Drive with helpful resources relating to the promotion of inclusive excellence in our classrooms, labs, and in the department culture at large. This drive is continually being updated with relevant research and resources for students, staff and faculty (including self-education resources, resources for incorporating diversity and inclusion in teaching and evaluation, and research on diversity, equity and inclusion), so visit it often to stay informed on current issues.

Helpful Information

Bathroom use is universal and all people deserve equal access to bathrooms. Free2Pee ND, a coalition of Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s, and Holy Cross students, located and evaluated single-occupancy, all-genders bathrooms and maintains a comprehensive map of these facilities so that everyone in the tri-campus community can find the bathroom that best meets their needs. Each location is marked with information about ADA compliance, presence of changing tables, and availability of menstrual products. Additionally, this link details the locations of lactation rooms around campus -- one such room is available in the Psychology Department on the 5th floor of Corbett.

Students who are in need of a room without a crucifix to pray in are directed to the interfaith prayer room on the first floor of the Coleman-Morse Center, the meditation room on the third floor of the Law School, and the multi-faith prayer room in Jenkins Nanovic Hall.
