COGNITIVE PSYCHOLOGY VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION

The Department of Psychology at the University of Notre Dame is seeking to fill a teaching position in the fall of 2018.  This position is a full-time (9 month—two semester) visiting assistant professor appointment. The appointee will be expected to teach 2 courses in one semester and three courses in the other at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Specific courses to be taught will be determined by departmental priorities for the coming year, but will fall under the general umbrella of cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience and undergraduate service-oriented classes like Introductory Psychology or Statistics. The position start date is August 21, 2018.

Applications should include a teaching statement providing an overview of the candidate’s general approach to teaching, a description of teaching history, including which courses have been taught previously and in what capacity (e.g., instructor of record, TA), and documentation for teaching effectiveness.
