Application Fee and Deadline
PhD students receive a base stipend of $23k for the full calendar year in addition to a full tuition waiver. This is guaranteed for 5 years. Additional funding may be awarded to certain students. This information can be found here and here.
Minimum GRE and TOEFL Scores
Applicants are welcome to apply to the program with any score, as those are not the only factors taken into account when the faculty review applications. The average GRE scores of admitted clinical students can be found here. The department does not track TOEFL scores although the Graduate School requires a minimum of 80 points total with a minimum of 23 on the Speaking section. This information can be found on the Graduate School FAQ section.
It is not mandatory for applicants to contact faculty ahead of applying although it is strongly encouraged that they have a clear idea of which faculty member(s) they would like to work with. We suggest that applicants review the faculty biographies and their CVs to find someone who matches their research interests.
The Department of Psychology does not offer a terminal Master's program, only a PhD track. PhD candidates are able to acquire a Master's as part of the requirements for their doctoral degree.
