Our doctoral program aims to provide students with exceptionally strong research skills in their chosen field of study through a combination of coursework, laboratory experience, and faculty mentorship.
Our core courses provide a breadth of knowledge in both cognitive theory and quantitative analysis while a variety of advanced seminars provide students with expertise in specific fields of study.
New students engage in research with faculty mentors immediately by undertaking a first year project.
The second and third years are dedicated to a Master’s thesis project.
In the fourth and fifth years, students will have completed coursework and written doctoral exams, leading to a focus on the doctoral dissertation.
Throughout their program of study, students publish their research with faculty while preparing to enter their chosen career in academia, industry, or government institutions.
