Research Interests: My research focuses on examining family relationships as developmental contexts for children’s emotional, behavioral, and physiological well–being, with an emphasis on interparental conflict and child emotion regulation. Toward this, my work has evolved along three interrelated lines: 1) understanding how risk factors in the family affect children’s emotion regulation abilities, 2) delineating family relationship dynamics at macro (yearly) and micro (daily) levels, and 3) examining how children’s functioning is affected by exposure to interparental conflict. In pursuing these research topics, I employ advanced quantitative analyses to capture family dynamics and develop innovative methodologies to improve assessments.
