Broadly, my research interests are in identifying ways of preventing destructive conflict from disrupting vulnerable families. I am particularly interested in understanding the direct and indirect processes through which preventive interventions can foster children and adolescents' emotional security and positive adjustment. By identifying the program characteristics that most effectively promote these processes, I also want to contribute to the development and continued improvement of future programs.
