Psi Chi

Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purpose of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology.

Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Psychological Society (APS). Psi Chi functions as a federation of chapters located at more than 890 senior colleges and universities.

Minimum requirements:

  • Top 35% of the class
  • 3.4 cumulative GPA in psychology
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA overall
  • 10 credits in psychology including statistics and two 300 level classes (not including psych-300). This requirement may be fulfilled concurrently to application.
  • At least second-semester sophomore status

Membership drives occur in the early spring semester of each year.
