Psychological Services Center
The Notre Dame Psychological Services Center is a new non-profit mental health service, training, and research center operated by the Department of Psychology at the University of Notre Dame. Services are provided by doctoral student therapists from Notre Dame’s Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program. As our student therapists are not yet licensed, all of the services they provide are supervised closely by licensed Notre Dame faculty members. Sessions are recorded, and the supervisor reviews the recordings to ensure that the students are providing the best care possible. The recordings are confidential and are used only to provide feedback to the students. The Clinical Psychology program at Notre Dame is accredited by the American Psychological Association.

Assessment (Psychological Testing)
Our center also conducts assessments (psychological testing) of adults age 18 years and older. Our standard test battery includes a clinical interview, a diagnostic interview for common psychological problems (e.g., depression, anxiety, substance use disorders), psychosocial functioning, and basic cognitive functioning (i.e., intellectual functioning, memory). Altogether this takes approximately 6-8 hours, which we prefer to schedule in two 4-hour sessions, but can complete in multiple 2-hour sessions if needed. If requested, we can also screen for learning disabilities, attention-deficit-hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and personality-related problems.
Contact Information: To request an assessment, please call 574-631-2862. If we are unable to answer your call, please leave a confidential voicemail with your name, call-back number, and a brief message regarding the services you are seeking or other information that would be helpful to us, and we will call you back as soon as possible.
